I see ACDSee Pro 3 offers online photo storage and sharing. Do earlier versions of ACDSee Pro offer this? And if so how do I find out how to do it?

When you say ACDSee 2.4.3, are you referring to a product that is very many years old, or are you referring to one of the ACDSee Pro 2 releases? You posted in the ACDSee Pro forum, which is why I'm confused.

When I open ACDSEE 2.4.3 in a folder with more than about 200 pictures, it seems to hangup for a minute or more. Even when it begins opening the thumbnails, it is very slow to open them, one at a time. My laptop is an HP, 1 year old, with Win XP sp2, Athlon 64 1.9Ghz, 2 gig memory. The HD is only about 40% used. Is there any way to decrese the startup time?

I needed to resize a transparent GIF that I made years ago in some other program I no longer have.

When I resized it it lost it's transparency. Following the directions above did not work. The new GIF continues to have a white background.

I'm using ACDSee Photo Editor 4. After selecting all the white background with the magic wand tool I am not sure what to do. When I click on the color selector there is no "no color" option. If I just hit delete the white changes to the checkerboard but when I save that image as a GIF and save it, it is still on a while background when I try to overlay it on a web page.

Any other tricks?

This BUG is now in ACDSee Pro 3.0. Awesome! I have discovered that if I use an EXIF editor, the Date/Time Original field is actually accurate in the file that I have saved from CS4, but ACDSee subtracts one hour when in displays the info. Strange!

If I save an image with ACDSee or Nikon Capture NX2, the Date/Time Original is accurately displayed.

I have tried many different configurations and still find that ACDSEE 2.5 and color management are not working correctly. It may or may not be significant but it should be noted that the color munki profiles are enabled by running the colormunkiGamma application. Are there perhaps multiple ways for an application to calibrate monitor output and maybe color munki is using a system that ACDSEE is not aware of??

Please help if you can. This has happened before and the tech people were able to talk me through it, but I cannot remember how. I believe one of my cards had a corrupt file on it and thus corrupted ACDSee. I think we went through Control panel to a folder and changed a name and it worked. I am not quite sure though. Anyone have a solution? Very much appreciated.

I use ACDSee Pro 3 with Vista.

When I want to make several screenshots, with the fourth, I got an error message after pressing the hot key: "screen capture failed". I found out that, after closing ACDSee and immediately opening it again (nothing else is changed), I can make three screenshots again. But with the fourth, I once again get the error message. Some buffer overflow or something like that?

Kind regards, Otto Dekkers.

I have a similar probelm - not just with ACDSEE 3 but 2.5

Screensaver works fine in my XP profile (administrator) but gives the same message when other users log on (limited users)

If I recreate the screensaver in other profiles it does not save - each time I open ACDSEE the screensaver is empty

I'm not sure what you're asking exactly. Are the image files there? That is, if you browse the drives with Explorer, can you find the images? If so, then ACDSee should be able to see them too. If you can't find them with Explorer, ACDSee won't be able to see them either. That wouldn't be an issue related to ACDSee per se; that's just a question of finding where you moved the images.

Perhaps you are saying that ACDSee can browse to the images, but they no longer show up when you use, for example, the Calendar feature, or Search, or the Organize windows? if so, then that's a database issue, and we can proceed from there.

First, what camera? What happens if you take a file into RAW Processing - does it work? If so, what happens if you try to either Save As or Export form within RAW Processing?

Another way to batch convert RAW to JPEG i to use the Batch Processor (not Batch RAW Processing), which can also do things like resize or add sharpening while converting. I find that more useful, because really I couldn't care less about ever generating full size JPEG's for m RAW files. One of th great things about ACSee is that it doesn't force you to convert at all - you can work with your RAW directly, and everything is completely non-destructive. But I do like to generate reduced-sized JPEG versions to keep on my laptop (the originals will eventually get moved off to a large external hard drive), and it's those reduced-sized JPEG's I also upload to web sites, email to friends and family, etc.
