Hi guys,

Please help me with a very bothersome situation. Just moving my pictures folder from one partition to another I seem to have encountered a major problem. Some photos have become invisible, some of the others are only half-visible and I get the message: "The source data format is not recognized". I use ACDSEE Photo Manager 2009.

What might be the problem?

PayPal transferred my payment through on 17th September, and despite repeated emails, no responses from ACDSee expect for automated "we haven't received your payment yet emails".

I will not be placing any further orders until ACDsee lift their game. Be warned!

The differences between the executive portraits and simple portraits are quite real and, depending upon the situation, may range from subtle to dramatic. They arise out of the purpose the portraits serve, the required preparations, and the way in which they are made.

Executive Portraits must first satisfy the foregoing concerns; additional considerations then come into play. Executive Portraits are purposeful in that they have a specific message to convey. They are, by definition, portraits of leaders. They must reveal, convey and support the sitter's leadership status.

Executive Portraits must bring out those qualities in the subject that underscore his or her sense of command, encompassing vision and gravitas. Upon publication, Executive Portraits become visual icons representing the ideas these leaders stand for.

Executive Portraits must be flawless. This does not mean that the subject must be physically flawless - no one is! Rather, the sitter's positive qualities must be presented so strongly that any superficial blemishes are not a distraction for the viewer.
Executive Portraits must be specific to the individual portrayed and project a consistent message to a diverse audience. Executive Portraits are virtually always re-purposed. They may be shot for one publication, an annual report, and then reused on a future, unplanned occasion, such as when the executive is honored with an award.

No two executives are identical, but two generalities describe those I have met. They really do have busy schedules, and they absolutely demand professionalism.

what u say about executive portraits?????

ACDSee is a fantastic and wonderful product. BUT, I have discontinued it's use. Reason? I made the Exodus from Windows to OS-X. This came about by two main factors: (1) Microsoft releasing their 'latest-and-greatest', Vista, and (2) Intel core processor adoption by Intel. Now that Apple deploys Intel processors in all their equipment, I can run both OS-X AND Windows, easily. But, I only run Windows (and then XP only) as a last resort if there is something I can not do on a Mac. There are very few instances of this.

Back to ACDSee, while using Windows over the years, ACDSee has been one of my favorites, however, since ACD Systems has discontinued support for the OS-X platform, or, is turning a blind eye to the expanding market there, I most likely will not be using ACDSee anytime soon. I hope ACDSee changes their development policy and strategy going forward and not turn a blind eye to the fact that Apple share in the U.S. has grown from around 4% to about 10.6%. And, in Japan, Apple perhaps is even more popular per capita then that of the U.S.

Good luck to the folks at ACD Systems. ;-)

If you'd like to choose more than one, please select your top choice.

Hi,
I've changed with ACDSee some EXIF info (mainly date-times) of a jpeg image; then I compared the modified file with the original one; I expected to find changes only in header (or trailer) corresponding to metadata as pure image data shouldn't be changed; instead almost all the bytes are different; does this mean that the image has been recoded (with loss of quality)?
Thanks

I just purchased ACDSee's offer for Nuance PDF.

I paid for, downloaded and installed the program. It asked for Licence Code and then it went off to activate. It kept telling me I had invalid code despite my checking and rechecking. I actually copy/ pasted into the boxes to save errors.

With no joy in my endeavours I then tried to send them an email but it wanted my credit card details!!!

I finally by chance got somewhere and was able to place a query - not sure where it went, but went it did.

Anyway. I looked at the program that is operating in trial mode and was far from impressed. It doesn't match up to how I see it as per the blurb on the web.
I tried adding some distances using the scale input and it did work but only orthagonal - ie no slanting lines only horizontal and vertical.

I am far from satisfied and would like a full refund, but am unsure just how to go about this.

Hi,

i have used Acdsee for a short while and find it usefull in some ways. But i have a request to make to the team. Software is mostly for photographs. But i think with some work on it, Acdsee team could make a wonderful Manga Reader software.

What is a manga reader software?

in this weblink you can find my favorite reader:

http://www.mydailymanga.com/2008/06/21/manga-reading-tool/

there is also one which is popular named Cdisplay.

Both softwares are discontinued.

What is Manga?

They are japanese comic books. Very popular these days.

Hope you can consider my request and check these manga reader softwares. I'm sure you could make a best experience for us manga readers.

Thank you.

Is this licensing model available for Photo Manager? If so, where can I get details? The only thing that seems to be on offer is the single user home license.
